Sugar Land

The city of Sugar Land in Fort Bend County, Texas got its name from when it was founded as a sugar plantation during the mid-1800s. Today, that name is still very much appropriate as the city is home to the headquarters of Imperial Sugar, one of the country’s top sugar producers. Present day Sugar Land is a booming metropolis with the largest number of master-planned communities in the county, where residents enjoy a high quality of life through the city’s offerings of excellent schools, amenities, and recreational opportunities. Sugar Land has appeared on various lists as one of the country’s top cities to live in publications such as Forbes.com and Money Magazine.
