In addition, there are amusement park rides and attractions, which include the Boardwalk Bullet, a 96-foot tall roller coaster that has the most number of track crossovers ever designed into a wooden coaster – 42 in all – and is currently only one of two wooden roller coasters in the state of Texas; and the Boardwalk Beast, a 25-minute speedboat ride that cruises across Galveston Bay at more than 40 mph.

The Perry House, built in 1902, was the home of Nathan and Mary Perry, and is the oldest house in Friendswood. The Friendswood Veterans Memorial adjacent to the Friendswood City Hall was dedicated in 2010. The memorial occupies 3,500 sq. ft. of open space, with an arched entry and two 7-foot granite columns on either side with a stainless steel globe and bronze eagle on top. A large stainless steel waving American flag dominates the memorial, along with an inscription on its base explaining its purpose.
